Intwari Women
Empowering the next generation of young women with the skills, confidence, and networks to shape Rwanda’s future.

Intwari Women is a transformative civic leadership fellowship designed to equip young Rwandan women with the knowledge, tools, and experiences they need to lead with purpose. Through an immersive and highly interactive format, the program nurtures confidence, civic responsibility, and leadership capacity—ensuring that participants are not only prepared for their future careers, but also ready to make meaningful contributions to their communities.
Each cohort engages in a multi-week journey of learning, personal growth, and community exploration. Participants dive into topics often missing from formal education—like civic engagement, storytelling, thought leadership, ethical decision-making, and digital strategy—all tailored to the Rwandan context.
Alongside classroom-style workshops, Intwari Women emphasizes hands-on activities, site visits, storytelling, and mentorship. Participants build real-world skills while creating community-centered campaigns, leadership roadmaps, and personal projects that reflect their passions and goals.
